The tourist area of Tunisia, located at 150 km of Sicily, the Cape-Good maintains for a long time the close links with the continent of Europe. The geologists think besides that the two territories were separated by the rise from water of the Mediterranean, 30,000 years ago.

 Planted citrus fruits and vines, the Cape-Good is the principal fruit producer and of famous wines of the country.

Since the years 1920, the foreign visitors flow in to the seaside resort of Hammamet, attracted by its     

great golden beach.  Formerly booked to the jet set, the city became a popular destination which, in spite of its many constructions, knew to keep a relatively  attractive face thanks to encircled hotels of greenery and of which the low height does not disfigure the littoral.

Once left Hammamet and the artisanal center of Nabeul, the Cape-Good appears very different. In addition to small villages with the peaceful charm, you will discover,  if you are motorized, of beautiful intact beaches.

In north, Kélibia is equipped with a small animated port, a massive  fortress and an  almost deserted beach.

Not far, the ruins of Kerkouane, punic site best preserved at the world, are drawn up above blue floods. With the northern tip of the peninsula, the small balneal city of El-Haouaria appears more withdrawn even. In the vicinity, 2,500 years old careers, of which number of blocks were used to build Coliseum of Rome, border the littoral.

The Western part of the Cape-Good, much more abrupt and isolated, is difficult access. Along the rocky coast, a spectacular road led to the spa town of Korbous, like fixed in the time, whose hot spring flows directly in the sea.

Sidi Bou Said is a village of international fame. It is known to be a world-wide heritage of the UNESCO. It is situated on the gulf of Tunis. Sidi Bou Saïd is a place that reflects the delicacy of its inhabitants due to its architecture.

As of our arrival, one finds salesmen of mechmoum on both sides of the alley. 

Men work there since decades and always test the same  mythical 

pleasure of it to sell their mechmoums  and to share the smile 

of the visitors.
